The ship
Neighbourhoods, AquaTheater, Boardwalk
Allure of the Seas joined Royal Caribbean in 2010 as an Oasis-class megaship, with a major refresh booked into 2025. She is about 225,000 GT with room for roughly 5,500 guests. Central Park, the Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade and the pool deck split the ship into neighbourhoods. AquaTheater diving shows and a multi-deck main theatre still define her evenings. She is the floating town — not a mid-size Voyager walk.
The Main Dining Room and Windjammer cover included meals. Specialty dining is the paid layer, among them Chops Grille and 150 Central Park, with Boardwalk casual spots filling between. Drink packages and cover charges sit outside the cruise — price those before you book so the extras do not surprise you mid-week.
Evenings run from AquaTheater dives and main-theatre productions to Boardwalk and Promenade bars. Daytime is the pools, FlowRider, the zip line and Adventure Ocean for children and teens. She is Oasis neighbourhood living at full Caribbean volume.
If you want AquaTheater dives, Central Park tables and Boardwalk energy at full Oasis scale, Allure is the clear megaship choice.
On board
Neighbourhoods, shows, thrills
- 01
Dining across the park
Main Dining Room sittings and Windjammer cover the included hours. Specialty nights worth booking early include Chops Grille and 150 Central Park — quieter, more dressed-up covers than the buffet. Boardwalk food stalls fill casual gaps. With more than five thousand guests aboard, sea-day specialty slots vanish if you wait.
- 02
AquaTheater and main stage
AquaTheater diving and high-dive shows are the Oasis headline many guests plan around. The main theatre handles production musicals and guest acts — cruise-stage spectacle, not a licensed Broadway transfer. Programme titles change by season, so check your sailing. Book or arrive early for centre sight lines on night one if the headline matters.
- 03
After dark
Boardwalk, Central Park and the Royal Promenade carry the evening map — pubs, cocktail rooms, late music and Casino Royale. Drink packages sit outside the cruise — decide what you will actually drink before you buy a package. Quieter park benches exist if you want conversation after the show without the Boardwalk volume.
- 04
Pools, zip and spa
The pool deck, FlowRider and zip line own daytime thrills. Vitality Spa treatments and thermal access are charged extras. Sunbeds and popular ride queues fill early on warm sea days. There is no quiet mid-size sundeck culture here — Oasis outdoor life is neighbourhood-busy by design.
- 05
Kids and youth
Adventure Ocean and youth spaces run at megaship scale with age bands that shift by sea day and port day. School-holiday weeks feel full. Families who will use the clubs, AquaTheater nights and the Boardwalk get the most from Allure. Couples seeking hush may prefer a Radiance- or adult-leaning UK ship.
Main Dining Room
The included evening restaurant — assigned or flexible sittings depending how you booked. Proper plated dinners without a cover. Best for classic cruise meals without budgeting extras every night.
Windjammer
The all-day buffet for breakfast, lunch and low-fuss evenings. Included in the cruise and usually the quickest seat on a port morning.
Chops Grille
Royal’s classic specialty steak room — quieter and more dressed-up than Windjammer. A cover charge applies. Book early on sea days for a splurge dinner.
150 Central Park
Fine-dining specialty in Central Park — one of the pricier covers on board. Quieter and more formal than Boardwalk casual. Go here for a dressed-up night, not a cheap filler.
Boardwalk food
Casual Boardwalk bites and stalls between shows — many items included or low-fuss extras. Ideal when you want a quick plate without a full restaurant sitting.
AquaTheater
High-dive and aquatic shows in the open-air AquaTheater. Included once aboard. Arrive early; the best sight lines go first, and the programme shifts by season.
Main Theatre
Multi-deck house for production musicals and guest acts — cruise-stage spectacle, not a Broadway transfer. Titles change by season. Included; grab a centre seat on night one if the headline matters.
Vitality Spa
Treatments and thermal access sold as extras — not included in the simple cruise. A calmer daytime reset than the pool deck. Book ahead on sea days.
FlowRider / zip
FlowRider surf and the zip line for daytime thrills. Included once aboard on most sailings; queues build on sea days. Best for guests who will actually ride.
Casino Royale
Tables and slots on the evening loop. Optional spend after dinner — walk past if gaming is not your night.
Fit
Who Allure is for
- Families and multi-gen groups who want Oasis neighbourhoods — AquaTheater, Central Park and Boardwalk — and who do not mind megaship walking times.
- Guests happy to budget drinks and one or two specialty dinners rather than expect every restaurant to be included.
- Not the ship if you want quiet mid-size calm, adults-only British tradition, or a deck plan you learn in an hour. Choose Voyager, Radiance or a classic UK brand instead.
Where
Where Allure tends to go
Caribbean from Florida has been the long habit, with European and repositioning seasons when Royal needs the ship elsewhere. Bases and routes shift year to year.
Treat this as the ship’s range, not a fixed timetable. When this guide is public, sailings with two or more UK agent prices will sit at the bottom.
Before you book
Oasis neighbourhood costs Allure adds
- Specialty dining, drink packages, spa access and many shore tours sit outside the cruise. Price the holiday as the cruise plus what you will actually buy.
- Compare UK agents on the same sailing — same ship, same date, cruise-only, two guests. The hero price should be the lowest bookable one, not the first logo you recognise.
