Carnival Jubilee is Galveston’s Excel-class Fun Ship from 2023: room for about 5,370 guests, with Bolt, zone neighbourhoods and Carnival’s newest-generation megaship playbook. She is Fun Ship living at full Excel volume.

Main Dining Rooms and Lido casual venues cover included hours. Specialty dining is the paid layer: among them Fahrenheit 555 and Asian or Italian specialty rooms, with Guy’s venues on the casual circuit. Drink packages and covers sit outside the cruise — price those before you book.

Evenings run through Playlist Productions in the main theatre and Zone nightlife. Daytime is Bolt, WaterWorks and Camp Ocean for children. She is Excel-class Fun Ship living at megaship volume.

   Playlist Productions and the main theatre handle Fun Ship shows and guest acts — spectacle sized for Excel crowds, not a West End transfer. Programme titles change by season, so check your sailing. Arrive early for a good seat on headline nights.

   Bolt and WaterWorks

   Bolt roller coaster and WaterWorks slides own daytime thrills. Queues build on sea days — ride early if that matters. Cloud 9 Spa treatments are typically extras. Sunbeds near the splash zones go first once the sun is out.

   Spa, gym, casino

   Cloud 9 Spa, the gym and the casino cover wellness and optional evening spend. Drink packages sit outside the cruise — decide what you will actually drink before you buy a package.

   Kids and family

   Camp Ocean runs at megaship scale with age bands that shift by sea day and port day. School-holiday weeks feel full — sign in early. Families who will use the clubs, Bolt and WaterWorks get the most from Excel-class ships.

• Multi-gen groups happy to budget drinks and one or two specialty dinners rather than expect every restaurant to be included.
• Not the ship if you want quiet British traditional dining, mid-size calm, or adults-only soft product. Choose a UK line or a smaller Fun Ship class instead.
