The ship
Vista namesake: Liquid Lounge and IMAX
Carnival Vista is the Vista-class namesake from 2016, with room for about 3,930 guests. She brought SkyRide, IMAX and an expanded dining map into the Fun Ship mainstream before Panorama and Horizon followed as sister ships.
Lido and main dining cover included hours. Specialty dining is the paid layer: Fahrenheit 555, Cucina del Capitano, JiJi Asian Kitchen and Guy’s Pig & Anchor among them, plus Guy’s Burger Joint for pool-deck bites. Drink packages and covers are extras — price those into the week.
Evenings centre on Liquid Lounge productions. Daytime is WaterWorks, SkyRide and the piazza. Camp Carnival covers families. She is Fun Ship volume with a piazza heart — not quiet British formal service.
If you want Vista-class Fun Ship nights with Liquid Lounge, IMAX and WaterWorks, Vista is the blueprint.
On board
Liquid Lounge, dining, WaterWorks
- 01
Dining circus
Main dining and the Lido handle included meals. Specialty nights worth planning include Fahrenheit 555, Cucina del Capitano and JiJi Asian Kitchen, plus Guy’s Pig & Anchor and Guy’s Burger Joint. Reserve specialty tables on embarkation day — sea-day slots go first. Drink packages sit outside the simple cruise.
- 02
Liquid Lounge and IMAX
Liquid Lounge is the show house for Vista-class productions. IMAX adds films and special events when programmed. Carnival is not a licensed West End title ship — programmes change by season, so check your sailing. Arrive early for popular seats on night one if the headline matters.
- 03
Piazza after dark
Piazza bars, piano and alchemy spots, sports bars and the casino carry the after-show loop. Drink packages sit outside the cruise — price what you will actually drink. The mood is Fun Ship party with piazza colour, not a quiet British pub ship.
- 04
WaterWorks, SkyRide and spa
WaterWorks splash, SkyRide above the top decks and the main pools take daytime energy. Serenity Retreat is the adults-only pressure release. Cloud 9 Spa sells treatments and thermal access as extras. Grab shade early on sea days — with nearly four thousand guests, the same rails fill quickly.
- 05
Kids and Camp Carnival
Camp Carnival and the teens’ clubs run family hours that shift by sea day and port day. Families who will use WaterWorks, the clubs and the piazza get the most from this class. Couples seeking quiet may prefer a smaller Spirit-class ship instead.
Fahrenheit 555
Fahrenheit 555 is the specialty steakhouse and one of the pricier covers on Carnival Vista. Quieter and more dressed-up than the Lido. Go here for a splurge dinner, not a cheap filler night. Book early on sea days.
Cucina del Capitano
Cucina del Capitano is the Italian specialty with a cover — pasta and trattoria plates as a paid evening. Mid-spend specialty: less than the steakhouse, more of an occasion than the buffet. Book early on sea days if Italian is your treat.
JiJi Asian Kitchen
JiJi Asian Kitchen is the Asian specialty room — a lighter paid night than Fahrenheit 555. Cover charge applies. Best when you want spice and small plates rather than a long steak dinner.
Guy's Pig & Anchor
Guy’s Pig & Anchor is the smokehouse-and-brew casual specialty — louder and more relaxed than the steakhouse. Mid-tier spend for barbecue plates. Good when you want an occasion meal without full fine-dining formality.
Guy's Burger Joint
Guy’s Burger Joint is the pool-deck burger counter — typically included. Cheaper than any specialty cover. Ideal between sail-away and dinner.
Lido & main dining
Lido buffet and main dining rooms are the included core on Carnival Vista. Proper plated or self-serve without a cover. Best for most nights and the quickest seat on a port morning.
Liquid Lounge
Liquid Lounge is the show house for Vista-class productions and big-room entertainment. Cruise-stage spectacle, not a West End transfer. Titles change by season — check your sailing. Centre seats on night one if the headline matters.
IMAX
The IMAX screen is the Vista-class film and special-event room when programmed. Included once aboard for scheduled shows; check the daily programme. A different night out from Liquid Lounge productions.
SkyRide / piazza
SkyRide runs above the top decks and the piazza is the social heart for drinks and people-watching. SkyRide is an extra on many sailings — confirm before you queue. The piazza itself is included once aboard.
WaterWorks
WaterWorks is the splash park for slides and family pool noise. Included once aboard. Loungers and shade go early on warm sea days. Adults who want quiet should plan Serenity time away from the slides.
Fit
Who she is for
- Bookers who want Carnival’s Fun Ship energy — Liquid Lounge, IMAX, WaterWorks and Guy’s Pig & Anchor on the Vista-class namesake — on a learnable deck plan.
- Families and multi-gen groups that will use Camp Carnival, the splash zones and Serenity for the adults, and are happy to budget drinks and one or two specialty nights.
- Not the ship if you want quiet traditional British dining, no kids in the public rooms, or Excel-class roller coasters. Choose a quieter line or a different Carnival class instead.
Where
Where Vista tends to go
Strong Galveston and Western Caribbean habit; Carnival can shift her for seasonal needs.
Treat this as the ship’s range, not a fixed timetable. When this guide is public, sailings with two or more UK agent prices will sit at the bottom.
Before you book
What the brochure skips
- Carnival’s Fun Ship cruise still leaves specialty dining, drink packages, Wi-Fi and spa as extras. Price the holiday as the cruise plus what you will actually buy.
- Compare UK agents on the same Vista sailing — same ship, same date, cruise-only, two guests. The hero price should be the lowest bookable one, not the first logo you recognise.
