The ship
Seaside EVO — more venues, same beach-aft DNA
MSC Seashore opened Seaside EVO in 2021 — longer and higher-capacity than Seaside/Seaview at about 170,400 GT and roughly 4,540 guests. She kept the beach-aft DNA while adding venues, cabin inventory and Yacht Club scale for the Americas market MSC was expanding. Sister Seascape followed. Together they are the open-ship counterweight to Meraviglia’s indoor Galleria: more restaurants, same outdoor headline.
Dining follows the open-ship brief: main dining rooms and a big buffet in the cruise, specialty Asian, steak and Italian rooms for cover charges, plus casual boardwalk bites. MSC Yacht Club sits forward/up top with private restaurant, lounge, pool and sundeck. Drink packages drive onboard drinks spend — the the cruise is not open bar — so UK bookers should price packages before Caribbean or Med fly-cruise excitement takes over Specialty tables include steakhouse, Japanese / hibachi and TV-chef specialty.
Daytime centres on the Seaside beach and pool complex with slides and sun. Evenings bring a large theatre plus atrium and lounge music; Yacht Club upstairs is the private escape hatch. Kids’ clubs fill in school holidays. She is Seaside-class MSC built for warm-water weeks where the outdoor decks matter.
If you want Seaside-class MSC with beach decks, slides and Yacht Club upstairs, Seashore fits — budget drinks and specialty beyond the cruise.

EVO beach and Yacht Club
- 01
EVO dining map
Seaside EVO keeps the open-aft idea with more restaurants and capacity than the original Seaside pair. Main dining and buffet stay in the cruise; a longer specialty tables include steakhouse, Japanese / hibachi and TV-chef specialty — (Asian, steak, Italian and more) takes cover charges. Yacht Club has its own restaurant. Drink packages remain the big upsell — the cruise is not open bar. On sea days, reserve the specialty night you care about early; EVO guest counts fill those rooms fast.
- 02
Theatre and boardwalk entertainment
A large theatre plus promenade or Galleria spectacle define MSC evenings. Entertainment venues worth planning around include Broadway Theatre and LED dome / promenade, among others. Production shows are cruise-stage spectacle and tech theatre, not a West End transfer. Programme titles change by season — treat any named show as current-season colour, not a permanent fixture.
- 03
Yacht Club and bars
MSC Yacht Club sits forward/up top with private facilities — restaurant, lounge, pool and sundeck — the quieter corner on a sun-route megaship. Bars follow the open-aft social scene as much as any indoor atrium; drink packages still drive the spend for guests outside Yacht Club. Price what you drink. Evening wanders mix boardwalk air with indoor clubs and casino — bring a layer when sea days turn breezy.
- 04
Beach area, pools and water slides
The Seaside ‘beach’ and pool complex is the daytime headline, with slides and sun aimed at Caribbean and Med sea days. Spa and gym sit indoors for cooler weather. Sun decks fill fast in peak holiday weeks — arrive early or use Yacht Club’s private patch if you paid for it. This is outdoor-deck MSC, not an indoor Galleria shopping street; pack for sun and splash first, then add a spa thermal pass if that is your sea-day ritual. Sport facilities cover the active hours when you need a break from the loungers.
- 05
Families at Seaside scale
Kids’ clubs, water features and open decks make these ships family magnets in the Caribbean and Med. Expect full sun decks in peak holiday weeks and early theatre seat grabs. Clubs are proper megaship facilities with hours that shift by sea day and port day. Multi-gen groups who will live outdoors get the most; quiet traditionalists and mid-size walkability fans should look at Lirica or Musica class instead. Budget drink packages for the adults before school-holiday energy hits the pool deck. Programme and featured acts change by season — treat any named show as current-season colour, not a permanent fixture.
Main dining rooms
The included evening restaurants — assigned or flexible depending on your booking. Proper plated meals without a cover charge. Best for guests who want a classic cruise dinner without budgeting extras every night.
Buffet
The big casual option for breakfast, lunch and low-fuss evenings. Included in the cruise and usually the quickest seat on a port morning. Ideal if you prefer self-serve over a long dining-room sitting.
Specialty Asian
Specialty Asian with a cover — more of an occasion than the main dining rooms. Expect a higher spend than buffet or main dining rooms. Book early on sea days if that is your treat night.
Steakhouse
Steakhouse with a cover — quieter and more dressed-up than the buffet. One of the pricier covers on board. Go here for a splurge, not a cheap filler night. Book early on sea days.
Italian specialty
Italian specialty with a cover — pasta-led occasion dining, often a touch lighter spend than the steakhouse. Solid second specialty choice. Book early on sea days.
Theatre
Broadway Theatre for MSC production shows — cruise-spectacle energy rather than a West End transfer. Titles change by season; check your sailing. Included; grab a centre seat on night one if the headline matters.
Boardwalk / aft bars
Boardwalk and aft bars for aperitivo and late pours with sea air. Drinks packages decide how expensive evenings feel — price what you pour. Seaside EVO’s outdoor evening spine.
MSC Yacht Club
MSC Yacht Club private suite enclave with its own restaurant, lounge and pool. The quieter corner if you paid for that key. Costs more than a standard balcony — you are buying space and shortcuts. Book early on sea days. Expect a cover charge and a clearer spend than the included rooms.
Beach & pool complex
Beach and pool complex for swim, sun and family splash. Included once aboard — shade vanishes early on hot sea days. Best for sun-hunters; quiet seekers look to Yacht Club.
Spa
Spa treatments and thermal access as extras. A calmer daytime reset than the beach complex. Book ahead on sea days if heat loungers and steam are your plan.
Fit
Who she is for
- Sun-itinerary bookers who want maximum outdoor deck and beach-aft drama more than an indoor Galleria — Caribbean and Mediterranean fly-cruises especially — and who accept busy sun decks in peak holiday weeks as the trade for that open-ship design.
- Families and Yacht Club guests on Seaside or EVO capacity who will use the water features, kids’ clubs and private Yacht Club deck, and who will budget drink packages and specialty nights honestly before the brochure cocktail shot takes over.
- Not ideal if you prefer enclosed promenade shopping streets, mid-size quiet, or a Galleria LED dome as the evening spine — choose Meraviglia-class for the indoor spectacle or Lirica-class for walkable mid-size instead.
Where
Where Seashore tends to go
Primarily Americas / Caribbean patterns from US hubs; MSC may mix seasonal moves. Exact bases and seasons shift year to year.
Treat this as the ship’s range, not a fixed timetable. When this guide is public, sailings with two or more UK agent prices will sit at the bottom.
Before you book
What the brochure skips
- The MSC headline price often looks sharp before drinks packages, specialty dining, the MSC Yacht Club and thermal-suite fees — price the holiday as the cruise plus what you will actually buy.
- Compare UK agents on the same sailing — same ship, same date, cruise-only, two sharing. The hero price should be the lowest bookable one, not the first logo you recognise.
